"And my God will meet all your needs
according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.
To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen."
Philippians 4:19-20
We can hardly believe it when we look at the thermometer on the right side of this page! A letter arrived on Saturday from Show Hope sharing that a grant for $4000 is being given to go toward our adoption expenses! In addition, learned today that we met our matching grant goal with Lifesong for Orphans. Through the generosity of several people, to date, almost $2500 has been given. As a result, our church, Clearview Baptist, will give $2000. This mean we are $8500 closer to being fully funded!!!
We so appreciate the prayers that are being offered for the adoption. We also are thankful for faithful family and friends (even those we only know through through the online adoption world!) who are walking on this journey with us. Adoption is a roller coaster ride...and one with no definite timeline! We are at the place where we have completed all paperwork and are waiting. Thank you for hanging in there with us through the uncertainty and as we wait to be "matched" with the child(ren) God has for our family.

Lori,
I found a link to your blog on the blog: nothinglefttopaint. I was searching through families that are adopting from DRC also from Tennessee and I was so happy to see your name. We live in Murfreesboro with our three kids and, Lord willing, a new brother soon. We just received a referral for a 15 month old named Philippe last week so we're still trying to believe its really happening! I've enjoyed reading your blog and I will be in prayer for your funding and upcoming match!

Just curious...the grant cycle you applied for the Show Hope grant, how long was it between the time that you applied and were notified?
The email that confirmed they received our info said a minimum of 90 days after we would be notified...did it take that long for you guys to hear back on the decision? Thank you for your help!
